Healthcare Panel - Scales of Impact in Healthcare Sustainability: Architecture, system, and product

Brad Löhrding, vice president of product design for Logic, presents Encouraging Healthy, Sustainable Lifestyles through Compelling Products.

Synopisis: The movement towards continuous, proactive healthcare encourages individuals to take an active interest in their health.  Products that support and encourage a healthy and sustainable lifestyle are effective only if they are adopted by users and seamlessly integrated into their lives.  By applying lessons learned from the design of consumer products we can work to create these deep personal connections and promote change.

Curt McNamara P.E., principal electrical engineer at Logic, presents Systems and Sustainability: Using perspective and description to enhance usability.

Synopsis: The systems perspective starts when the designer incorporates multiple descriptions or ways of knowing. These can be formalized or informal. The talk will cover three ways of mapping viewpoints.
