Job Description
Logic Product Development is looking for an embedded software engineer with a four year degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. Qualified candidates will have a "projects" based experience that provides an understanding of both system architecture and design with an emphasis in embedded operating systems, including but not limited to Linux, WindowsCE, VxWorks or ThreadX. This position will provide embedded software engineering architecture, development, and deployment support on a global level for Logic's Embedded Product Solutions group.
Qualifications
- Communicate effectively, speak, read technical specs, and program in English
- Low-level experience with processors (microcontrollers/microcomputers)
- Experience with C, C++, and assembly languages
- Should be comfortable with hardware analysis tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
- Should have device driver development experience
- Familiarity with parallel and serial bus architectures (ISA, PCI, RS-232, SPI, CAN, AC97, etc..) a plus
- Must have experience with WindowsCE, Linux, VxWorks or a Unix-like operating system
- Familiarity with GCC development suite and Unix-like development environment
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking protocol a plus
- Low level experience with (ARM, MIPS, SH, M68k, ia32) architectures a plus
- Electrical engineering design and schematic capture experience a plus
- Utilize advanced trouble-shooting skills, deliver tasks on-time, communicate with design teams, contribute to group efforts.
- Must be able to work on multiple projects at one time
- Must be willing to perform test and documentation phases of programs if required
