Seizing a new market opportunity.

Banner Engineering Corporation saw a niche for a new high-performance fiber optic sensor that could do the jobs of numerous other devices. Our challenge was to design a compact, easy-to-use, and aesthetically superior unit that would be cost-effective. Our design team analyzed competitive products, and through a user-centered design process delivered a sensor that achieved all of Banner’s goals, and has driven the design language strategy of subsequent products. The design won a Good Design award and is included in the permanent design collection of the Chicago Athenaeum.
