Is the Coldfire Fire Engine functional without a programmed CPLD?
Yes, the ColdFire processor is fully functional but many of the peripherals and features of the Fire Engine SOM itself are not accessible without a programmed CPLD. If you're interested in programming your CPLD please download the CPLD license agreement and contact product sales to gain access to the CPLD programming file.
